Moobug Solutions (or just Moobug for short) is a husband and wife team from South Yorkshire in the UK.
Where did we come from?
Well, when a mummy artist and a daddy web developer love each other very much… oh, hang on.
A good friend of ours had a web hosting and design business. When he sadly passed away in January 2010, we heard from one of the people who he was hosting for. He wanted to make some changes to his site. As we had some hosting space available, we offered to take his site on and make the necessary changes for him. So we moved the site over to our own hosting, with as little downtime as possible, so from our (new) client’s perspective, it was business as usual. As Caroline currently works in the arts business, and our new client is heavily involved in the arts, word soon got around that we had offered to take on this website.
We had already been considering starting our own design and hosting business for a number of years, so this turn of events managed to kick us into touch
Ok, so who are we?
Caroline is a budding artist and right-brained individual, with a keen mind for what feels right. She’s the key front-of-house member of the team, and the primary contact for all incoming enquiries. She is effectively our visual lead.
Dave is very much left-brained, and a programmer by trade. He provides the key technical know-how to the melting pot, and is where all of the hacking and tweaking comes from. Our technical lead, if you like.
When did we ‘officially’ begin?
After taking on one client, which turned into two, which turned into three, we realised that there was a market for our skills and pricing structure. After getting advice and guidance from Success Doncaster, Doncaster Chamber, CIDA and HMRC we officially registered as a business in August 2010.
In our first 18 months of trading, all of our clients have been through word of mouth and we are proud to have developed so many websites in this manner, now that we’ve built up a healthy portfolio we are looking to start advertising our services and gain new clients and look forward to many exciting prospects.
